11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. EST
EPA’s ECOTOXicology Knowledgebase (ECOTOX) is a comprehensive, publicly available tool providing single chemical environmental toxicity data on aquatic and terrestrial species.
Specifically targeted for decision-makers, this training will provide—
• An overview of the database content and function
• Application-oriented use-case demonstrations
• Opportunities for participatory learning and engagement
ECOTOX was developed to provide risk assessors and researchers with relevant toxicity data that have been identified and curated from the peer-reviewed literature and government reports. Through curation of single chemical ecotoxicity data, this tool supports ecological risk assessment and management with methods that are thorough, cost-effective and transparent. New data are added to ECOTOX every quarter and are made available on a public-facing website (www.epa.gov/ecotox).
This registration page is to attend Session 1, which will feature—
• Introduction and overview plenary lecture
• Presentation and demonstration of ECOTOX features and functionality
• Q&A session
Please note the training is divided into two parts to accommodate a variety of interests and schedules. Registration is free but required.
